As-Salaam alaikum,
I wish to remind us, Brothers and Sisters in Islam to the effect that we must always be on our guard against the ultimate source of disaster-- and that is SATISFACTION of our own self and unleashing the TONGUE too freely in speech.
The tongue is a WILD BEAST. If someone unleashes it, it will devour him/her. A man may utter a single word which he is unconnected with, but which becomes the cause of his falling 70 years into the Fire of Jahannam. If someone utters one word about his/her brother/sister which he dislikes, it is as if he had committed fornication with his mother in the Ka'aba 33 times, as is related. The Prophet, Sallallahu alaihi Wasallam, said:-
"GOOD IS DIVIDED INTO 10 PARTS. 9 PARTS ARE IN SILENCE AND I PART
IS WITHDRAWAL."
It is said that there are 7,000 types of wisdom in silence. If speech is silver, then silence is gold... So make the most practice of silence one of your wirds. If you restrict your speech to Zikr (Remebrance of Allah) and legal necessities which Allah has made obligatory, you will be happy and win the best of both worlds.
Do accept my best wishes.
