As-Salaam alaikum,
We have read it in Surat Baqra of the the Holy Qur'an where it is stated:--
"We belong to Allah, and to Him we shall return." (2:156)
With this noble ayat, we have to realize that when we say: 'We belong to Him', we are declaring that nothing belongs to us-- nothing is deserved. Everything we have is a pure act of grace and generosity of Allah, the Merciful... the Generous Lord. Once this fact reaches our heart, we will be able to break free from arrogance, pride and complaint...
